Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor – Now through March 31, 2010

Don't miss the chance to view the largest collection of artifacts to ever travel from China to the U.S. This exhibit features 15 life-size terra cotta warriors who were created to stand guard over the tomb of China's first emperor, Qin Shihuangdi. The Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden of the Smithsonian Institute presents recent works by the Irish artist John Gerrard, who take a novel and technologically advanced approach to traditional landscapes. Universal Dimensions: The Space Art of Wang Ming – Now through April 9, 2010

Wang Ming is a former Air Traffic Controller turned artist who now produces abstract art pieces. The 35 pieces in this exhibit have a certain “cosmic” theme to them, which you can see at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Air and Space Museum. This museum is located less than a mile from the Capitol Hill Suites right down Independence Avenue. On a balmy day it is just a short 20 minute walk. William Shakespeare’s Hamlet – Now through June 2010

Brian Jungen: Strange Comfort – Now through August 8, 2010

The Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian presents works by Brian Jungen, a Native American artist.
