What's Happening in August?

Screen on the Green, August 1-11

The National Mall will be hosting Screen on the Green again this year. People begin gathering on the lawn as early as 5 p.m. and a classic film is showcased on a large movie screen beginning around dusk.





DC Comedy Fest, August 7-9

There will be eight venues hosting stand-up, sketch, improvisation and short film comedy throughout the Washington D.C. area. For more information, visit www.dccomedyfest.com.





The Legg Mason Tennis Classic, August 9-17

The tournament is a US Open Series Event with 48 singles and 16 doubles teams competing. The tournament benefits the Washington Tennis & Education Foundation. Tickets to the tournament range from $50-$75.
